Motorized Vehicle Policy

The motorized vehicle policy is in place to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Responsibility for compliance with this policy rests with the owner of the vehicle as well as with the driver and riders.

  • All vehicles MUST STAY ON ESTABLISHED ROADs, not on the grass, in bush areas, walking trails, etc. Snow Machines (when permitted on the grounds) may operate off the road system, but must be kept away from the snow tubing hill.
  • Drivers must abide by all traffic rules (speed limit 20 km/h, stop signs, right of way to pedestrians, etc.)
  • Vehicles must be parked in designated vehicle parking areas, not on grass or sidewalks.
  • Use of vehicle must be in accordance with the operator safety manual – e.g. number of riders equal to number of seats.
  • Any vehicles without working headlamps and tail lamps must not be used after dusk.

Dirt Bikes

  • Dirt bikes are not permitted anywhere on the grounds.

Cars, Vans, Pickup Trucks, Motorcycles, Scooters

  • Must be licensed and insured for on road use, with the exception of certain MBC vehicles which are specially insured for use on the grounds.
  • Drivers must have a valid drivers license – G2 or greater.

Golf Carts and General Utility Vehicles such as Gators

  • Vehicles in this category are capable of a maximum speed of 20 km/h or less.
  • Drivers must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Vehicles must be insured.

  

ATV’s and Side-by-Side Off Road Vehicles

  • Drivers must have a valid driver’s license - G2 or greater.
  • Passengers must be 8 years of age or older.
  • Vehicles must be insured.
  • Drivers and passengers must wear approved motorcycle helmets.
  • Observe 20 km/h speed limit and other rules of the road at all times.

 

Snowmobiles

  • Snowmobiles are permitted on the grounds only with prior written approval of MBC management.
  • Vehicles must be insured.
  • Drivers and passengers must wear approved helmets.
  • Drivers must have a valid driver’s license (G2 or greater).

Drivers will receive one warning if not in compliance with this policy.  A second offense will initiate a written letter of reminder to the owner.  A third offence will result in a registered written trespass notice, enforceable by law.  It is our desire that the second and third steps will never need to be taken.
